welcome to Anjuman Islam Primary School
Anjuman Islam Primary School was originally established in 1953 and was temporarily closed in 1998 and reopened in 2006 with 122 learners to care for, learners from the poor economic sector of the Durban CBD. Today we have almost 700 learners. To the learners always remember: A Pencil and a Dream can take you anywhere. Here you will grow, learn, and discover your unique talents. Embrace every opportunity with enthusiasm and determination, and remember that your education is a gift that will empower you to make a positive impact on the world.
As we embark on this academic journey together, we are reminded of the profound words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Sunan Ibn Majah). At Anjuman Islam Primary School, we strive to fulfill this obligation by fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, all rooted in the principles of Islam.
To our parents, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with the precious responsibility of nurturing your children. Your partnership and support are invaluable, and together, we will ensure that your children receive the best possible education.
To our community, I invite you to join us in our mission to inspire and empower the next generation. Whether through your involvement, encouragement, or support, you play a vital role in shaping the future of our students.
As we begin this new chapter, let us work together to create an environment of excellence, kindness, and mutual respect. May Allah (SWT) guide us, bless our efforts, and grant us success in this noble endeavor.
